Sandeep Banerjee has been racing for almost a decade now. But switching his focus on stock car racing boosted his career. Soon he found himself racing at local short-tracks, followed by a full-time ERCO SuperCar Series season in his self-owned cars, winning one race. HRI Motorsports noticed Banerjee's skills and signed him to pilot the No. 21 Ford F-150s in the ABIT Truck Series. Finishing fourth and third in points in 2005 and 2006, respectively, and adding wins in the Alienware Series and the ERCO SuperCar Series to his records finally put him in the premier division of ESCORS.
In 2007, Banerjee will embark on his first full-time season in the BallRacing Cup Series driving the No. 7 Weyerhaeuser Ford for HRI Motorsports. He will also be pulling double-duty, driving the No. 27 Bosch Power Tools Ford in the Alienware Series.
