BRUSSELS, Belgium -- Today, the revival of europe's leading online stock car league was announced at the headquarters of the ESCORS organisation. Steve Claeys solely took over the organisation from its previous co-owners Helmut Eimann and Hendrik Gerhardt.
The biggest change is the use of new software. In it's precedent years and seasons, ESCORS used Papyrus' NASCAR season titles but from today on, iRacing world leading simulation software will be used. "I could not let it die a silent dead" commented Claeys. "Drivers encouraged myself to continue and so here we are. Contracts are still being discussed but one thing is certain. We are back on track.
It might take a while untill the train is running smoothly on it's rails again but we will get there one way or the other". ESCORS will start with a test season to see what the intrest is from the drivers and what can be accomplished to keep it's standerds high cuase that is one thing what ESCORS made famous. It's strive for realsim. "This will never change and I hope that iRacing.com can offer us in the future what we need and deserve. We want to continue the path we created 8 years ago and even improve our reputation. It will be hard and rough but I am ready for it."
Steve Claeys also mentioned that any help is welcome to get ESCORS back to the top where it belongs. Running such an organisation on your own is deadly and therefore, anyone who wants to contribute, can contact Steve Claeys by mail.
