Hackmann would turn out a dominating performance at the 2.5-mile tri-oval leading 101 of the 120 laps to score his 38th
career BallRacing Cup Series victory.
His teammate and car owner Andy Wilke would finish in second place after a close chase in the final laps of the race. Trey
Eidson, Csaba Volyka and Kirk Earls completed the Top-5. It would be Earls' first top-5 of the season since he started driving for
H² Auto Racing.
Giorgio Ponti would give the No. 13 SportAutoMoto Dodge a good run to finish 6th, ahead of Laurent Dilard, Helge
Gravemeyer, Mike Hogg and Istvan Pasztor, who had a very strong car earlier in the race.
The race would see a disappointing 12 cautions for 41 laps and there was never really a long run that typically characterizes
races here. As a result, the race ran at an average speed of only 111.257 mph.
Hackmann continues to lead the Chase for the BallRacing Cup points standings. Kirk Earls and Giorgio got back into the
Top-12 in points heading into Michigan.
